X2 LAUNCHES iTABLET THAT RUNS WINDOWS 7
UK company X2 has launched a web tablet called iTablet. Interestingly iTablet was one of the rumored names for the Apple tablet. Apple eventually chose the name iPad. Apparently X2 wanted to cash in on the free publicity the name had gathered. They have gone ahead and launched a rival device called iTablet. The X2 iTablet has reasonably impressive specs. It sports a 1.6GHz Intel processor and a rival device called iTablet.
The X2 iTablet has reasonably impressive specs. It sports a 1.6GHz Intel processor and a 250GB hard drive. There are 3USB ports, a 1.3MP webcam, Bluetooth, 3G and HDMI output. For graphics, either NVIDIA ION or a Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator is available.
The iTablet will reportedly run Windows 7. It will be available in two sizes. One with a 10.2 inch display and the other with a 12.1 inch display.
Pricing and availability
No word on pricing, but the tablet is expected to be out in April.
