HP ELITEBOOK 8440W AND 8540W NOW SHIPPING
The HP EliteBook 8440w and 8540w are now available for purchase. The EliteBook 8440w sports a 14 inch LED backlit display with 1600 x 900 pixels. It can be configured with a Core i5/i7 dual-core processor and NVIDIA Quandro FX 380M discrete graphics. The EliteBook 8440w runs Windows 7 Professional/Windows XP Professional. Up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 500GB of HDD or up to 256GB of SSD are available. Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, eSATA/USB combo port, VGA, DisplayPort, 2 MP webcam (optional) and Express Card slot. The optical drive can be replaced with a 500GB hard drive. The EliteBook 8440w ships with 6-cell/9-cell battery packs.
The EliteBook 8540w is a mobile workstation with a 15.6 inch display. It can be configured with not only a dual-core i5/i7 processor, but also a quad core i7 processor. The notebook runs Windows XP/Windows 7 Professional. Other specifications include up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB of Hard drive or up to 256GB of Solid state drive and a choice of NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M or FX 1800M discrete graphics. The EliteBook 8540w ships with 8-cell battery packs. Other notable features are WiFi, Bluetooth, VGA, DisplayPort and 2 USB 3.0 ports and 3 USB 2.0 ports.
